OBCIDO is launching the Afghanistan Relief Program - for Afghan refugees and veterans.

Last month, the United States ended 20 years of war in Afghanistan - the longest conflict in American history - swiftly and with consequences. Troops were deployed to Kabul International Airport to secure the evacuation of foreign nationals, diplomats, journalists, individuals, and families whose lives would be in danger under the Taliban regime.

The world watched in horror as crowds took to the airstrips to flee an unsettling and volatile future. We witnessed mass hysteria, a country running for its life. We saw children passed over wire barricades, ripping families apart. People clung to the wings of departing military planes, only to fall mid-air.

Since the mass evacuations began on August 14, over 122,000 people have been evacuated, including around 5,500 US citizens. It was one of the biggest airlifts in history. The majority have become Afghan refugees - aid and frontline workers, journalists, to name a few.

As a responsible corporate citizen, in the spirit of helping those in need, OBCIDO is launching the Afghanistan Relief Program - for Afghan refugees and veterans. The program has three tiers of support.

Employment Opportunities for Refugees and Veterans

Applicants qualified in web development, content production, or graphic design can apply to join our team and work from one of OBCIDO’s offices or remotely. Applicants must be either a recently evacuated Afghan refugee or a veteran of America, Canada, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, or Germany. Program information is available on obcido.com/afghanistan.

Support to Afghan Refugees

Second, we wish to extend our support to the estimated 3.5 million Afghans currently displaced internally. In appreciation to each client that OBCIDO works with, we will be donating to an Afghan family through the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). We will secure shelter and core relief items for a displaced family through a monthly contribution to UNHCR direct.

Donations to US Veterans

Third, OBCIDO believes that those who served our nation matter the most during these times. To recognize the men and women who served our nation with dignity and pride, a contribution will be made monthly to veterans organization to support a Veteran’s family.

The world is constantly facing challenges. It is only with unity and humanity that we survive these unprecedented times. Our team is a diverse blend of backgrounds, education, ethnicity, race, and location, reflecting the shared core values of our clients and partners. We drive innovation and inspire to exceed expectations with compassion and solidarity. OBCIDO prides itself as an American corporation, working with like-minded values of inclusion, persistence, and solidarity with our global community.
